The Mexican film El Diablo Fuma (y guarda las cabezas de los cerillos quemados en la misma caja) wins the prize for the best feature film debut, which was awarded for the first time in the new Perspectives section.
During the festival the large-format Berlinale Star Portraits adorn the walls of the Berlinale Palast. There they are signed by the stars before their gala premieres.
The Berlinale celebrates 75 years full of stories and unforgettable moments by providing a look into the archive, the opportunity for encounters and exchange at the new HUB75 – The Berlinale Festival Center – and a walk down memory lane with an anniversary programme curated by Berlinale Shorts. More anniversary highlights.
In short texts, the Berlinale sections introduce themselves and their 2025 programme.
