Young Photographers at the Berlinale

In 2017, the Berlinale presented the "on scene" photography project in cooperation with the Hochschule der populären Künste (hdpk, ‘academy of popular arts’) in Berlin. From 10-17 February 2017, 27 students from the hdpk had the opportunity to prove themselves amidst the festival action and demonstrate their talent.

The students participating in the project were Barbara Turcan, Bileam Tschepe, Debbie Linne, Ella Krug, Florian Lüdtke, Hannah Szinovatz, Humayon Tahir, Jacob Yanai, Jasmin Gohlke, Josua Hesse, Linda Schneider, Louisa Hackl, Manke Chen, Maria Lessing, Mariana Schweens, Marie Neureither, Maxim Welsch, Michelle Noa Voß, Nora Bork, Philip Ratuschny, Philipp Marquardt, Philipp Schultze, Ruslan Tomashchuk, Sabine Freese, Svenja Nagel, Waiyaki Kumale Francesco Otieno and Zachary Haude.
