Berlinale 2023: Sustainability

The Berlinale is focused on sustainable behaviour, be it in the festival’s film programme, organisation or in the industry activities taking place under the Berlinale Pro* umbrella. With a keen eye on various global crises, this means that the Berlinale acknowledges its responsibilities and uses its communication channels to create awareness and promote change. This is why social, ecological and economic sustainability are embedded in all of the festival’s areas of operation. The Berlinale continues to build upon the principle of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
