Jacqueline Lyanga
Jacqueline Lyanga has been co-director of Film Programming since July 2024.
Jacqueline Lyanga is a film curator who has been the US Delegate for the Berlinale for the past two editions of the festival. In 2020, she founded Global Cinematheque in Los Angeles to promote international cinema and talent in the United States through year-round programming initiatives. She has also consulted with international film festivals like SXSW Sydney. Prior to this, Jacqueline was at Amazon Studios as the Head of DEI for IMDb, the Artistic Director of Film Independent in Los Angeles and the Festival Director of AFI FEST at the American Film Institute (AFI). Jacqueline has been a guest and moderator of industry panels at the Berlinale, the Cannes Film Festival, the Forbes Women’s Summit and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and has served on international film festival juries for the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the JIO MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, the Locarno Film Festival, OUTFEST, SBIFF (Santa Barbara), SIFF (Seattle), SFFILM (San Francisco), the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). In 2014, she was featured on "Variety’s" Women’s Impact Report as one of the female entertainment industry leaders in Hollywood deemed a game-changer and innovator.
Jacqueline has been appointed to the rank of Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French government and to the Order of the Crown by the Kingdom of Belgium
