Miriam Reimers
Since July 2024, Miriam Reimers is part of Berlinale Director Tricia Tuttle’s management team as head of the Programme Operations and Production department. She has already worked in the festival’s management team for five years with a particular focus on organisation and finance.
After studying dramaturgy in Leipzig, Miriam Reimers worked for ten years as a dramaturge and production manager at various publicly funded theatres in Germany, including in Hanover, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Göttingen and Constance, where she also implemented various international cooperation projects including with partners in Malawi, Togo and Switzerland. In 2014, she was director of the “Auf’s Äußerste, Europa!” European literature festival for the City of Constance.
Also in 2014, she moved to Berlin. After complementary studies in the fields of business administration and tax law, and valuable experience gained in a tax and auditing firm, she returned to the business of culture and festivals when she joined the Berlinale in 2020. With her focus on the organisational and business management work of the festival, she aims to create the optimal conditions for the Berlinale’s artistic programmes and presentations.
Miriam Reimers is also a qualified facilitator (ECA/IAF) and champions the future-proof, sustainable development of organisations.
