The winner of the Honorary Golden Bear in 2025: actor Tilda Swinton
The Berlin International Film Festival’s two honorary awards – the Honorary Golden Bear and the Berlinale Camera – are presented as part of the Homage. The prize winners are selected by the Festival Management.
The Honorary Golden Bear has been awarded every year since 1977 to a leading figure in international cinema for their lifetime achievement.
With the Berlinale Camera, the Berlinale honours figures and organisations that have made a special contribution to filmmaking and with whom the festival feels a particular connection. Berlinale Cameras are not awarded every year, but several can be presented during a single edition of the festival.
