He doesn’t need much in this new solitary life. And he doesn’t feel lonely – his friends know where to find him. A brief, reflective portrait shot on grainy Super 8 stock that tells of the freedom inherent in living a self-determined life.

Santiago Reale

Born in Casbas, Argentina in 1988, the screenwriter and director studied audiovisual arts at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata. In 2016 he participated in the Berlinale Talents and in 2018, his short film Aquel verano sin hogar (That Summer Without a Home) premiered at Doclisboa in Portugal and won Best Short Film at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata. He has been a member of the pre-selection jury of the Argentinian Fondo Nacional de las Artes and is currently working on his debut feature film, La noche es de los animales (Night Belongs to Animals).
