A boat bobs up and down approaching the walls of the old city of Venice. When they arrive, Arben’s father buys his son an ice-cream, even though they don’t really have the money to spend on such things. And then, Arben’s father suddenly disappears, leaving Arben standing alone in the city’s labyrinthine streets and alleys. Italian children sometimes get lost; Albanian children, however, are abandoned.
