In this delightful short series, children talk about their encounters with nature: Driss describes how he takes apart dead beetles to discover what they look like inside. Puck recalls the night her cat gave birth to kittens on her bed. Aram watches how the fish in his aquarium react to a crayfish. Nike and Flint build a fire like prehistoric people. And Lizzy takes her owl for a bike ride.
These five episodes are part of the 1Minuutje natuur series, which originated as a radio programme.

Stefanie Visjager

Born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 1968, she is an independent radio producer and one of the founders of the Radiomakers Desmet production company in the Netherlands. Her radio dramas and documentaries have won numerous national and international awards including the Prix Europa. She developed and produced 1Minuutje natuur (1Minute of Nature), a series of animated documentaries, together with Katinka Baehr.

Katinka Baehr

Born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 1969, she is an internationally acclaimed radio producer who has won many awards for her radio documentaries including the Prix Europa. In 2013 she made her first series of ‘audio driven visuals’, Accidental Conversation. Together with Stefanie Visjager she has developed a series of animated documentaries with the title 1Minuutje natuur.
