El reino de dios
The Realm of God | Das Reich GottesThings may not be perfect, but for Neimar, life is good. When Mum cooks bland beans and has no money for new clothes, or when she‘s busy healing sinners, he can always count on Grandma for advice or a joke. And then there‘s his best friend Demi, the racehorses he loves so much, and his First Communion classes where he flawlessly recites the Ten Commandments. Now Neimar finally wants to feel God‘s presence – if he can only figure out how. As he searches for a happiness at odds with the complexities of real life, Mexican director Claudia Sainte-Luce observes the hustling young boy with a realism suffused with light, in which carefree innocence does not simply dissolve, but instead grows and matures into worldly wisdom.
