Suzie loves going with her parents to the garden settlement outside the city, where every plot is different. Behind a high fence, surrounded by dense, almost spooky vegetation, is where old Bela is supposed to live. A big black dog and a shiny blue key lead Suzie onto the property, where she discovers a magical secret. Painted on glass in vibrant oil colours, a world full of small wonders and natural beauty emerges.

The screenwriter, artist, director and animator was born in Prague, the Czech Republic in 1974. She studied at the Vaclav Hollar Art School and at FAMU in the city. She focuses mainly on the animation technique of painting with oil paints on glass, as in Zuza v zahradách. She also writes and illustrates books for children.
