Kevin Jerome Everson has an MFA from Ohio University and a BFA from the University of Akron and is Professor of Art at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. His work encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, and film—including eleven features and over 200 short form works. Recent retrospectives and solo exhibitions include the Halle für Kunst, Graz, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, Tate Modern, London, Centre Pompidou, Paris, and Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul. Everson is the recipient of several awards, grants, and numerous fellowships.
