Aslı Özge
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, she has lived in Berlin since 2000. After studying at the film and television school of Marmara Üniversitesi in Istanbul, she made short films and a documentary. Her debut feature film Men on the Bridge premiered at Locarno in 2009 and went on to win numerous awards. Her second feature, Lifelong, and her first German-language feature, Auf Einmal (All of a Sudden), both screened in Panorama at the Berlinale, with the latter film winning a Special Mention from the Europa Cinemas Label and the FIPRESCI Award.
