Léchez-nous, Miaou, Miaou! | Lick Us, Meow, Meow! by Marie de Maricourt
CHE 2015, Generation
Jeannette lives in an institution. She has no self-determination and is constantly controlled. She longs for physical contact and sex. When she lives out her desire with a teenage boy behind the church altar, the authorities react with draconian severity. Enraged by the repressive atmosphere, Jeannette’s fellow inmates embark on a lusty, spirited revolt against the oppressive system. Atmospheric and intense, the film is a cri de cœur for self-determination.
