Screaming wildly, a gaggle of children runs across the school playground: “Aaaah!”. A group gathers by the slide, waiting for a turn to let out a brief shout of joy. Two start to fight: “Aaaah!” – that hurts! One child is with the school nurse: Now say “Aaaah!”. A charmingly grotesque animated short about a world dancing to the tune of the adults, in which “Aaaah!” is a cry of outrage, of anger, of joy – in short, the full spectrum of young emotions.

The French animation filmmaker first studied graphic design before moving on to animated film direction at La Poudrière in Bourg-lès-Valence, France. While there, he made three films including his graduation film Tête-à-tête. He then worked as screenwriter and technician for several projects. Both parts of his Chroniques de la poisse have screened at festivals including Annecy and Hiroshima. Since 2013, he has been closely working with the animation studio Miyu Productions who produced his Locarno award-winning short film Je sors acheter des cigarettes.
