Kantarama Gahigiri
Die ruandisch-schweizerische Regisseurin und Drehbuchautorin wurde in Genf geboren und wuchs in der Schweiz und verschiedenen afrikanischen Ländern auf. Sie studierte Internationale Beziehungen. Obwohl sie sich bereits früh für Kunst interessierte, begegnete sie dem Medium Film erst spät. Als Filmemacherin beschäftigt sie sich mit Themen wie Identität, Migration, Empowerment und Repräsentation. Kantarama Gahigiri ist Alumna von Realness Residency (2018), La Fabrique Cinéma in Cannes (2019), Le Moulin d’Andé (2020), Berlinale Talents (2021), Locarno Filmmakers Academy (2022) und Atelier Grand Nord (2023).
